The reaction of one of the onlookers was: „Jesus Christ!” Cameraman: Zoltán Gál
05. 12. 1997. : Darvas Cup – Kiskunfélegyháza: In the competition of the category: Boys 10-14 the holds were so far from each other, that he could only touch the next one with his fingertip despite he reached his arms with a full span! Cameraman: Zoltán Gál

Trekking, rock and artificial wall climbing; other sports and ecstatic joy in playing – our own recordings:
July 1996: Lignano Sabbiadoro – the Aquasplash and the Parco Junior; the beach and Venice
SONY Hi8 cassette – 90 minutes Camera: Ferenc Schin
August 1996: The High Tatras – one month of hiking with many rainshowers. Balint climbed eight peaks which were more than 2000 m high. He was five years old then.

Autumn 1997: Balint was only six and a half years old when he climbed the three „Faekes”– the first 35 minutes of the recording were damaged (some people recorded something else on it). All that was left is some climbing on the boulder above „Nehéz repedés” the three variations of the route „Kofa” and the long traverse in the French Quarry – with some housewall and fence climbing in the beginning.

Autumn 1998: In the first forty minutes of the tape he is riding his bike and climbing on the bars of a plaaying ground in the City Park of Budapest, then he is rollerskating for another three minutes. The rest is some very hard climbing on the wall of the Klébi. (The largest indoor climbing wall in Budapest).

From 01. 12. 1998: Climbing in „Klébi” and in the „Vertigo”

09. 1999-03- 02. 2000: The tape begins with the recording in the Kis-Geri from which I wanted to make a film: it was the climbing of „Harangozo Terez” from the moment he sights „her” till the very last moment of the romantic farewell. The only thing it lacks is the soundtrack with the songs of the Hungarian singer, Teri Harangozo. The rest of the tape is hard climbing on plastic – among them the famous „Three Holds Route” that he climbs free solo!

From the summer of the year of 2000: In the first 12 minutes he is carting in the parking of the Polus Center (it moved up to Budaörs, and its name is „Budaring” – and it’s great for carting!) In the next 15 minutes he’s going crazy in the Lunapark (for lunatics?) in Budapest. Then he is seen as Darth Maul (Star Wars) after the carnival-mascarade of his school in February 2001. After that there are the recordings in the Vertigo Climbing Hall from 28. 02. 2001. till 31. 05. 2002. and then he is jumping on the trampolin in the „K2” Climbing Hall. August 2001: During the time of our second training camp in Misja pec. Slovenia Balint’s mother recorded the climbings of the most significant routes. Since that was the first time in her life to do a video-recording, she hadn’t used the zoom too many times. (To tell the truth: almost never. So you can see some tiny creature climbing on the huge rock (a lizard? an ant?) – but you hardly can identify him…

August 2002: After some hard learning work the amateur camera(wo)man did a very good job! Many hard climbs, and a fantastic recording of the Osp river, which grew very big after the frequent and heavy rainstorms – quite unusual in that time of the year!
2 pieces of SONY Hi8 cassettes – 90 minutes each Camera: Judit Kámvás & Ferenc Schin
August 2003: The fourth training camp in misja pec was the hardest ever! The heat record of the last 150 years was beaten that summer. Despite the extreme conditions Balint did some very hard routes – but the camera broke down, so there are some vertical stripes on the screen. If we take the colours out, there are no stripes in black and white!
