The list of the articles, interviews and reports appeared in the press; the films and interviews and reports showed on different TV channels:

Press:

February 2006: Suli Magazin (Hungarian monthly for schools): „Óriási vagy, Törpe!” (Munchkin, you are great!) is the title of the five pages long interwiev with Bálint Kámvás with six colour pictures of him.

January 2006: ZIA. HU (Hungarian Web site for climbers): The monthly magazine of the web site issued an article about Törpe (Tiny One, or Munchkin) alias Bálint Kámvás, who has won so many Hungarian Championship titles till now, and climbed so many very hard routes on rock.

November 2005: HTM (Monthly magazine for hikers and climbers) :”Fine X-grade Routes” – an article with coloure pictures on page 18-19 about Bálint Kámvás, who climbed extremely hard routes that year.

June 2005: HTM (Monthly magazine for hikers and climbers): ”European Youth Cup, Brno” – an article on page 28-29 with colour pictures about the Youth Cup, and Bálint Kámvás, who became fourth in the competition.

09. 06. 2005. Thursday: Népszabadság (The most read daily newspaper in Hungary): “He climbs walls when he is in high spirits” – an article and a colour picture of Balint Kamvas, who won 110 trophies; how he trains and how he lives. Written by: Zsigmond Falusy

04. 05. 2005. Wednesday: Helyi Téma (Local Theme – newspaper of the easten part of Budapest). “He climbs walls, not trees” – an article and a colour picture of Balint Kamvas. About the beginning, the wins, the school and the humble situation before the World Championship in Beijing, China. He trains like hell, but he’s just lost his only sponsore, so no financial supports to get to China. Is there still hope? Written by: Karoly Jocha

14. 03. 2005. Monday: Vecherny Novosty (Evening News; Serbian newspaper in Beograd, Serbia-Montenegro): An article and a colour picture of Balint Kamvas in the Rakosliget Cup in Hungary. It is mentioned, that the Hungarian friend of the Serbian climber, Stephan Vujic was fifth in the World Championships in Edinburgh last year – and (of course) the winner of the Hungarian competition, where Stephan became third.

10. 01. 2005. Monday: Dunántúl Népe (Newspaper in the western part of Hungary): An article about the “Padányi Cup” in Veszprém; Bálint Kámvás won two second, a third and a fifth place.

05. 10. 2004. Tuesday: Zuglói Lapok (The newspaper of the 14. district of Budapest): “Törpe, the Champion!” Article about the young boy, who won so many titles, and became fifth in Edinburgh World Championships.

07. 10. 2003. Tuesday: szikla.hu (Hungarian web site for climbers): ”Törpe climbed six X grade routes on one day in the Kis Gerecse!” Article; written by: Ferenc Bubb

October, 2003. Rock & Ice climbing magazine, volume 128: Kámvás Bálint was mentioned as one of the youngest European climbers who climbed X+ routes at the age of twelve.

October, 2001: Mount Everest: on page 6 there is a short report of the Aggtelek Cup -without any name subscribed.

October, 2000.: Fun Sport: (Hungarian magazine for extreme sports): on page 46-47 there is an excellent article:”Welcome for the winners!” about the Aggtelek Cup, by a very nice woman who participated herself at the competition. Her name is: Zsuzsa Klich

07. 12. 1999. Tuesday: Zuglói Lapok: On the ninth birthday of Bálint Kámvás appeared an article in the permanent column:”Famous people of Zugló” (the district of Budapest, where he lives). The title of the article was:”Now he climbs, now he plays the flute” In fact, Bálint plays the recorder, not the flute; and there were some other mistakes in that article – but the writer of it, Andás Tóth, journalist wrote very kindly about him indeed.

November 1997. MTV: ”Green Point” Film-report of the Mountex Cup – held in Zlaté Moravce, Slovakia. That was the first competition, where Törpe climbed on lead! One of the film makers was Ferenc Borszéki, a climber himself. VHS!

Autumn, 1997. TV 2 (at Tárogató Street) A film about Törpe. No copy available.

07. 06. 1997. M SAT Invited by Piroska Albert and interviewed by the ex Beauty Queen of Hungary; Antónia Bálint, Törpe got a big chocolate cake because he was right six and a half years old on that day! VHS!

15. 03. 1996. MTV: On the Hungarian National Holiday the crew of the TV filmed Törpe as he was climbing the edge of the crag: Óra-fal at Oszoly, Csobánka. The other parts were filmed at the Klébi climbing hall, and in the flat of Törpe. The film was finalist at the Trento Mountain Film Festival, in Italy. Made by Miklós Kaplony, Zsuzsa Grábler and Balázs Szekeres. VHS!

February, 1996. MTV: ”Magic of Sports”; in that programme they mixed the stuff they filmed on 29. 01. 1996. at the Klébi Cup With the details of the movies ”Cliffhanger” and Kegyetlen hegycsúcs and famous interviews with the most famous climbers in the world. The route setter of the Klébi Cup was also interviewed – and the youngest competitor: the only five year old Bálint Kámvás. Cameraman: Péter Marik. VHS!
